Telomere Bronze Dimensions: 7” x 24” x 5.5”
Material: Solid bronze casting with a natural bronze patina finish
This is a solid bronze casting with a natural bronze patina finish on a honed 4″ solid black granite base. It is inspired by biology diagrams—telomeres, DNA and my love of geometry and architecture. This was cast directly with a Voxeljet PMMA plastic—no mold required. Crafted from carefully selected materials, the sculpture features smooth, flowing lines that seamlessly intertwine, symbolizing the ongoing cycle of growth and preservation.
While the surface is smooth and geometrically perfect there are ‘imperfections’ or discolorations—additional photos upon request. I have stopped obsessing about perfect sculptures and enjoy the human aspect of our creations; they lend character.
